Scotch Maple Snaps

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 1/2 cup pecans (optional)
- 2 tablespoons Nesquick (chocolate milk mix)
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar and butter; blend with a mixer until finely particled (crumbly, not doughy).
- Reserve ¼ cup for topping.
- Add rest of ingredients EXCEPT Nesquick; mix thoroughly.
- Shape into balls using a rounded teaspoon.
- Combine reserved crumbs and Nesquick.
- Roll the balls in the mix and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 12-15 minutes. It makes a flat, snappy cookie.
